After its time as Capital of Culture – Chemnitz becomes the City of Love

What many have always known will be brought to life at the “LOV SpotLIGHT” light art festival from 17 to 19 September 2026: Chemnitz is a city of love. Once again, national and international artists will use their light art installations to shed light on the city’s hidden potential. Under the title ‘Love Pong’, the 97-metre-high conference hotel in Stadthallenpark will become Europe’s largest interactive space for social interaction. This year, the city centre will also be transformed into a space for playing with light, thanks to further light installations.

From Japan to the Czech Republic and Hungary: the Chemnitz light art festival ‘Light our Vision’, which this year goes by the name ‘LOV SpotLIGHT’, is once again proving to be a magnet for national and international light artists from Germany, Europe and around the world.
